TIME is Limited..

Please read my Other BLOG http://livealldream.blogspot.sg as well.

First of all let me explain what is procrastination (taken from Dictionary web reference) - Origin from Middle French procrastination and directly from Latin procrastinationem (nominative procrastinatio) "a putting off from day to day," noun of action from past participle stem of procrastinare "put off till tomorrow, defer, delay,"

For anything to START new in LIFE, the biggest hurdle is Procrastination. We, the middle class, most of us living in comfort Zone either because of "Our MIND is conditioned in such way or we gave up all the sweet things in life which we can achieve (taken from my other Blog http://livealldream.blogspot.sg/)" or we think what is HURRY, still we have lots of time to do things. We as human being in common tend to PONDER things for next day by giving excuses like "Let me come back from home or vacation", "Let me first get my son/daughter's admission in school", or "Next week I will have more time" etc etc. This is really a big HURDLE if we need to achieve something BIG in LIFE or Live a DREAM.

I did small analysis on how much time we have LEFT on average, if a person touched 32 YEARS. Lets assume 65 years of ACTIVE LIFE a person can LIVE. So remaining years of active life is 33 Years.

Now lets divide 24 HOURS of daily activity
SLEEP----------------------->8 Hours
Mundane activities---------->2 Hours
Commute-------------------->1.5 Hours
WORK------------------------>9 Hours
Watch TV (or Family Time)-->1.5 Hour
==========================
Total-------------------------->22 Hours
REMAINING----------------->2 Hours for anything PRODUCTIVE

Now lets calculate 2 Hours means how much time total we have in remaining 33 Years of ACTIVE LIFE. (2 X 365 X 33) / (365 X 24) = 2 YEARS 9 MONTHS Approx

Thus out of our remaining life we have only 2 YEARS and 9 MONTHS LEFT to do something PRODUCTIVE to achieve DREAMs (if we have). If there are no DREAMs or do not want to achieve REALLY BIG then this blog is NOT for them.

So now question are
Do you want to achieve something big? Are you going to utilise those REMAINING time effectively?

Please put your comments if you read this Blog...

  1. Very true and very inspiring story. Even i was not realizing that i have this much time only for new activity. But i got the clue. If we are able to remove those 9 hours from our daily life ASAP, we will get more time for our activity. Just an idea..:-) . Time is ticking and we need to think now. Honestly i dont want to die like this. I also want to achieve something..

  6. Totally agree. Delaying things for the comfort of today puts a lot at stake.

  8. Very good article and calculation is an eye-opener. As per author Malcolm Gladwell (In the book Outliers) it takes roughly ten thousand hours of practice to achieve mastery (at world class level) in a field.....and here we are saving 24K hours.......
